I’m planning to update my Mac software in the next week or so. Before I buy anything Mac-related, I always visit macrumors.com to check the buyers guide, which reports info on buying cycles and has saved me hundreds (at least) in purchases made in the past.

In stopping there today, I spotted a great tip. They say “over the past few years, Apple has participated with one-day specvials at both their retail Apple stores as well as the online Apple Store.” They go on to post a list of some of the Mac hardware and accessories that were priced to sell LAST year. On that list I noticed .mac accounts were sold for a third off!

So, all you Mac faithful, hold onto your cash until the day after the feast. Let me know what bargains you scoop up! Woo hoo!
