The Ever-Expanding Network

lifeofvaicon.jpgEven though you can network with people anywhere in the world today, I believe in good old face-to-face contact. I remember how exciting it was to meet other VA’s in person at the first ever IVAA Summit in Las Vegas a few years ago. Putting the face with the name, email, tagline and website was fun and enabled many of us to solidify or initiate virtual partnerships.

I was similarly delighted when Mesa-based VA Amber Miller (“Smart to Finish Office Solutions”) contacted me and extended an invitation to lunch with some other Arizona VA’s. A group of us had been meeting every so often since the above-mentioned Las Vegas conference in 2003, but had lapsed over the past year. Amber picked it up where our other group had left off and made arrangements for us to gather in Tempe last Thursday.

Rounding out the group were Sharon Simpson (“Servitium, LLC”) and Kim Robinson (“Pinnacle Virtual Assistant Services”). There’s a wealth of experience, expertise and energy in this small group, and we look forward to meeting again in April in the Phoenix Metro area. Personally, I learned a lot from our meeting and look forward to possible collaborations or referrals to or from this select group. If you are interested in meeting with us next time, just let one of us know.
