Aiden’s Sweater

Time for a knitting post.

Aiden’s organic cotton sweater With all the leftover yarn from his sweater, the little guy (grandson numero uno) needed a matching sweater. Here’s the result. Photo is taken with my Treo 650, so not that resolute as it could be (I think that’s the wrong use of that word, but you know what I mean!)

Could never quite get the gauge right; this is one of Debby Bliss’s patterns for infants, and it is so subtle but nice and soft and nubby. He’ll probably be able to wear it at about 18 months… will repost a photo of him in it here once he is big enough to wear it!

Other recent finished projects: baby hat for expectant friend, awesome felted tote, two scarves.

Next up: finish purple tab front sweater started several years (and sizes) ago, start blue angora/merino wrap, Michigan toque for middle son, scarf for daughter (started and ripped out 6 times in as many days… wrong pattern choice or message from the great beyond!)

  1. Cute sweater! It’s always better for a childs sweater to be too big than too small, as they seem to keep growing.
