ProBlogger Group Writing Project Faves
Cheers! Here are my favorite posts from the first round of submissions in this week’s project by Darren Rowse:
- Definitive Guide for Geeks to Time Pass at Work by Ashwin. If you are geeky on any level, this is for you. (I am apparently quite geeky, according to my children and husband.) After reading another post over at ProBlogger earlier, I am wondering if geekiness is inherited or if it can also be taught??
- The top 5 funniest music video parodies by Roberta. Almost makes me wish my office were smaller so I could love it as much as the guy in “My cubicle.”
- 5 Cool Things You Can Do With Your DNA, by Hsien-Hsien Lei, PhD. How compelling is that title? For the used-to-be-a-science-teacher types out there (ahem), this is a good one.
- How To Figure Out What To Read Next – Top Five Resources by Super Fast Reader. Her tagline is “Reading is my Superpower,” so she knows what she’s talking about. If you ever begin to stress about what to read next when you still have 200 pages to go, Super Fast can help you.
- Top 5 Sins by Susan. She’s talking about blogging sins, not life sins, but still. You can’t be too careful.
So, what does this have to do with the business of blogging? Yes, spending an hour or so reading through all these posts does eat up some time. But the concept of Darren’s periodic group writing projects is to promote discovery of new blogs (and be discovered yourself) while giving some deserved link love along the way.

I’m glad you liked my DNA post! I only recently learned that Guy Kawasaki has a virtual assistant. That really piqued my interest so your blog will definitely be added to my feed reader.

Actually, did you know that the feed URL in the footer of your blog is missing a colon in http://? Also, the autodiscovery for your site doesn’t seem to work…. Just a heads-up from someone who’d like to read more.

Thanks, Hsien Lei, or Hsien or Lei. Wow, how challenged am in in Asian naming? Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate the tip on the URL “colonoscopy.” I will see if I can figure it out.
What aggregator or reader do you use? I use NewsReader and it is discoverable – maybe that was a hiccup.

Eeks! Good to see that you liked my post!
I think no body is born geek, we all pursue to be geeks.
