Granny, thank you so much for dropping in! I am psyched to hear that someone out visiting blogs for the first time ended up here at "Loosely Speaking!"

Come back again and share the results of your treasure bumming outings.

By the way, I love the DAV Trift store, too. One of the best, isn't it?

Hey ktcosmos…just visited your blog. This is my first time! I’m a blog virgin!
I too love thrift stores and yard sales. Have you tried the DAV on 5th street?
Every once in a while I find a ‘treasure’ there. I’ll try the coffee shop you recommended. I also don’t drink coffee, but my husband does. I find I can always find some great tea at a coffee shop. Sure enjoyed all your comments about our wonderful Prescott. I’ll continue to visit your blog. I love to go bumming for treasures!

GrannyJ,

Truck-owning friends of yard-salers won't let their friends pass up great items just because they can't haul them! I have a Tundra-at-the-ready and am happy to help you out if you see something that you simply must have. Just call. (or email).

Like you, I really don't enjoy shopping -- tho I go out so seldom that once I'm in a Wal-Mart or Costo, I spend far too much money. On the other hand, I'm with you for thrifts & yard sales. As an undriver, I do have a problem with yard sales -- too many heavy things that I simply can't get home. As for Thrifts, I really like the stuff over at Noah's. And don't forget the used book store, for heavens' sake. For new stuff, I'm likely to go to Amazon -- my best adventure there was finding a great lime sauce that I originally met at the 99 cent store next to KMart; they closed and I was bereft, but found the item at Amazon!
