The ProBlogger Group Writing Project Continues

Man, this is a challenge. atomiccake.jpgThe second day’s submissions have been published and there are almost twice as many as the first day.

I can’t bring myself to just link to all of them (sorry guys). So, herewith is my group of faves from day two, which boasts 242 submissions in a great group blogging activity project by Darren Rowse:

  1. Top Five Green Companies to Put Your Money Behind by Crystal. I am getting ready to put up my next Technology Recycling Contest and this post is relevant, so it caught my eye.
  2. 5 Things You Should Know About Your Audience … from a Tap Dancers Perspective by Terence. I dont know how to tapdance, but I can get behind what Terence is saying here. Further, you might find some applicability in his hints for your blogging approach. I like it.
  3. My Top 5 Reading Ladies, by Amy Palko. This is a nice companion for SuperFastReader’s post listed in my list of faves from day one. Fine art by the masters, depicting lovely women who seem completely mesmerized by the reading material in their hands.
  4. My Top 5 Inspiration Sources in Photography, written by Brian Auer. Just like with blogging, we sometimes struggle to find inspiration in photography. This is a great list to jumpstart your photoblock.
  5. 5 Games You Need To Play to Live Well, by Yehuda. I assumed the content would be about nefarious mindgames, but decidedly not. Yehuda says, “Games are a distillation of life’s choices in concentrated form.” A very intriguing site with well written posts.
  6. I’m a stranger here myself, by Jul, and which deals with the reentry shock experienced by anyone who leaves the States for awhile and then comes back, leading you to wonder where you really ARE from.
  7. If Only I Could Read Just 5 Blogs, by Jonathan C. Phillips. Predictably, there are more than just this one post on the topic of “best blogs” in the GWP (uh, Group Writing Project), but I really like the ones Jonathan lists.

So, what does this have to do with the business of blogging? Yes, spending an hour or so reading through all these posts does eat up some time. But the concept of Darren’s periodic group writing projects is to promote discovery of new blogs (and be discovered yourself) while giving some deserved link love along the way.

… and what is up with the clown cake? I don’t know. Visiting all these blogs kind of feels like a party, and no party is any good without a cake.
