This is the (Virtual Assistant) Life – new radio show premiers

lifeofvaicon.jpgIf you are a VA, or a client of a VA, OR someone wondering about working with a VA, there’s a great new resource for you to check out. Jump on over to the VA Talk Show, produced by Tawnya Sutherland.

Every segment includes an interview with a spotlighted VA, then another interview with a VA guest speaker, then a spot called “Roc Talk,” in which Brent Reilly tackles a technology subject (looks like it’s mostly for PC users, but we’ll see), and finally a wrap up session on another topic useful to VAs.

With the abundance (or glut, depending on your viewpoint) of info on virtual assistance out there in blogs, discussion groups and websites, why spend the time listening to this show? Let me tell you.

Audio and Interactivity. As a VA, you work in isolation most of the time. Listening to this show is like attending a combined VA conference and networking activity. Because of the audio format, it’s much more inviting than reading a bunch of posts. After their interview ends, the guest speakers are available at a forum so that you can login and ask questions or chat further.

I just popped over and listened to the terrific show recorded on April 25. Paula Williams of Money Penny Assistants discusses her seven years as a mobile VA who lives and works full time in an RV. Fascinating interview, and a perfect example of the diversity possible in the life of the Virtual Assistant. Imagine opening your office curtain to a spectacular new view every few days!

The related VA Networking site also accepts article submissions, so don’t miss that portion of the site.

A hearty congratulations to Tawnya for launching this new venture.
