They don't want to read tired, rehashed, hastily posted articles. They're after fresh content that's worth reading. You’ve raised a valid point here. If you’re blogging for the sake of it and going through the motions because you feel obliged to keep posting, you’re letting your readers down as well. They don’t want to read tired, rehashed, hastily posted articles. They’re after fresh content that’s worth reading. Someone mentioned how some start blogging with good intentions, do one post and that's it. I do admit I have a few blogs that have a small number of posts and I haven't done much else with them - but they are actually holding bays for something I'm going to do later. I own a lot of blogs and 4 or 5 of them are quite active ones.
