What a thrill for Ryan Perry, who was throwing for the University of Arizona Wildcats this time last year! The 22-year-old has made the Detroit Tigers opening day roster after having been selected by the Tigers in the first round in the MLB Amateur Draft last June.

I can’t say I know him, but my son was his teammate for the 2008 Wildcats season and I am pulling for Ryan, as he’s the first teammate we’ve ever watched to go on and make it to the show in his rookie year.
