Things they left behind
They filled the house to overflowing. Then they vanished, all at once, after a week of sleep deprivation, tons of great homemade food, somersaults, kitchen dancing, walks through the neighborhood, squirt gun fights, over-the-roof football lobbing, and loads of laughs.
The things they left behind:
- 5 hot dogs
- 8 working squirt guns
- Redecorated basketball court
- lavender button-down shirt: doesn’t appear to fit anyone in the family… (pictured)
- Crabtree & Evelyn bath products (pictured, still plenty in the bottles)
- black tee shirt (pictured)
- plastic storage bag for travelling toddler-sized crib mattress (pictured)
- Axe bath product (bottle near empty, but, still…)
- 3 loads of sheet & towel laundry
- 2 funky old lawn chairs
- bag of corn tortillas
- 88 photo memories of the things we did
- a green plastic thing (pictured)
- an empty fridge
- a quiet house
- 2 tired, but lonely grandparents
It ended way too quickly. Call or text us if you recognize and want to claim any of the left-behinds.
And, please come back soon. We love you.

Well we are the owners of the black shirt and pack n’ play carrier, sorry about that! We got in late last night and are oh so tired! Thanks again for everything!

I will happily claim the 2 funky lawn chairs (in my dreams). We had a great time and you are great hosts. Thanx so much, thriftolicious ‘08 was a success.
