How are we supposed to manage (and afford!) all these electronic wonders? I have an LG cell phone and Handspring Treo 90 which is beginning to seem a little long in the tooth, though it’s been tremendously valuable. Now, while I would love to have a new PDA / phone combination (a Blackberry like my brother Bill!), here in the mountains where I live that’s a pretty impractical expense - I can’t even get cell phone service at my home and office!

While in Chicago last week, my brothers and I visited the new Apple Store on Michigan Avenue and drooled over the iPods. Who wouldn’t want one of those, too? Perhaps when phone, tunes, photos and PDA are all combined into one device that totals less than $400, I’ll dig into my pockets and make the move. Until then, I think my pockets are full enough with the phone and the PDA - I’m just happy I’ve never lost either one of them.
