I’m always pleased with Iron Springs Cafe up on (you guessed it) Iron Springs Road – and now that it looks like construction is wrapping up – all the more reason to go. My favorite is the Sunday brunch – great french toast, unique variations on Eggs Benedict, steaks, etc. and they do serve Mimosa’s (that can’t hurt get your Sunday off to a nice start, eh???) Its a funky little building with a lot of history – used to be the Hillside Train Station I think? Very much a place that will make you feel part of the community…. and I like the food. Always tons of specials. Good place to take out of town visitors, too. Great desserts.
Bon Apetit.

Nancy, I am a fan of Iron Springs, too! We go there about once a week as it’s in walking distance and because of the great homey atmosphere. I love the mussels (I don’t think you eat those, right?) and salads.

Mmmm.. Tudie’s Chicken Fried Tuna with Jalapeno Gravy is awesome there as well!
