Division I College baseball starts today, February 19, 2009, which happens to be my birthday. I love February.

To commemorate the beginning of the season, Tom Check gave me permission to display this great photo. See more of Tom’s photography on his blog.

Wherever you are, and whatever level you follow, enjoy opening day and hope to see you at the ballpark, whether Chase Field (where I root for the Cubbies when they come to Phoenix to play my husband’s team the Dbacks), Frank Sancet Stadium’s Jerry Kindal Field at the University of Arizona (Go ‘Cats!), RoughRider Field at Yavapai College (Roughriders), or Prescott High School’s ballpark (Badgers).
